Fatal crash on the A1 – cousin has to witness everything

 A Swiss man's journey on the A1 motorway ended tragically on Sunday. His cousin was driving directly in front of him and witnessed the fatal accident.

The shock is still profound: Around 8 a.m., a crash occurred on the West Autobahn near Laakirchen (Gmunden district). A 38-year-old Swiss man was driving his van towards Vienna when he suddenly veered off the road to the right. As reported by "Heute," the journey ended in a devastating accident.

 

The car skidded across a grassy verge, crashed head-on into a tree, and then smashed into the wooden noise barrier. The force of the impact was enormous; the vehicle was massively destroyed.

Cousin (33) provided first aid

Photos from the scene of the accident show that the car's engine was even ripped out in the crash. According to police, the driver was trapped in the wreckage.
